Bowen consists of gentle rolling movements, that are non invasive to the area of concern. This then stimulates the nerve endings under the skin (the very important fascia) which then naturally stimulates your nervous system, by sending the messages back to the brain, to enable it to heal and restore itself, thus helping the body to go back to its original blue print.

What happens in a Bowen Session?
In your first treatment I will run through your medical history in great depth, to gain a deep knowledge and understanding of needs and expectations. Bowen sessions are carried out in your own home as I run a mobile clinic. The Bowen Technique is mainly carried out on a couch, however it can be adapted to sitting, standing, whatever your mobility needs are - that's the beauty of this treatment. Bowen is carried out on either bare skin or with loose fitted clothes, being comfortable and retaining your modesty is of utter paramount. I will apply gently rolling movements to the area of concern, not forgetting the most important part of all, the 'Bowen Pauses', and your body will do the rest. By doing this, it gently 'wakes up' all of the body's systems, which have fallen asleep and it allows the body to begin working correctly again, which enables the body's to naturally heal and restore itself.
FAQ:
Please allow up to an hour and a half for the first sessions. Session's regularly last between 30 - 60 mins, depending on the procedures used, and the body's response to the treatment being given.
PLEASE NOTE ** there is a 48 hour cancellation policy in place. Should you cancel within this, you will still be charged for a full session.**
**Session's carried out on Under 18's, will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult to enable the Bowen Technique session to take place**
